Nelle ultime 24 ore il vento è calato drasticamente fino a 8 nodi allontanando l’orario di arrivo…sono le miglia più dure quando si pensa di essere ormai arrivati e invece il vento ci obbliga a ripensare ai nostri piani e alle nostre tempistiche. Ieri abbiamo navigato tutto il giorno sotto spi con una media di soli 4 nodi…Nonostante il ritardo delle ultime ore abbiamo sempre in programma di fermarci una notte a Fatu-Hiva, l’isola piu a sud delle Marchesi, prima di trasferirci a Hiva oa dove c’è l’aereoporto da cui partiranno i ragazzi.
Da questa mattina finalmente è tornato il vento! Siamo a 79 miglia dalle Marchesi,avanti tutta!!!

In the last 24/h the wind has dropped drastically to 8 knots, pushing the arrival time further away… these are the hardest miles when we think we have arrived but instead the weather forces us to rethink our plans. Yesterday we sailed all day under spinnaker with an average of only 4 knots…Despite the delay of the last few hours we still plan to stop one night in Fatu-Hiva, the southernmost island of the Marquesas, before moving to Hiva or where the airport from which the boys will depart is. This morning the wind finally returned!We are 79 miles from the Marquesas, full speed ahead!!!
